We are an intergenerational community of 28 religious women ranging in age from 30 to 93 years in age. In order to support our aging sisters in their continued ministry and participation in the community, we need a wheelchair accessible van. We have applied for a grant to cover 60% of the cost and are waiting to hear back with much hope! A wheelchair accessible van will allow us to:
- ensure safety and well-being by transporting Sisters in the safest way possible to Mass, CVS, Boscov’s and needed medical appointments
- strengthen our community by bringing those who live at Saint Joseph Villa to the St. Raphaela Center for community gatherings, holiday meals, and days of retreat and continued mentorship of younger sisters
- cultivate hope in our aging sisters by seeing that continued mobility is possible and transportation can be comfortable
