Requests from women and men around the world attest to a movement of the Holy Spirit inspired by Vatican Council II. In the spirit of their Foundress, Saint Raphaela Mary, the Handmaids want to share all that they have, and value the gifts shared from our lay friends.

Our lay ministries are part of a larger body called the ACJ Family and are represented by lay men and women whose desire is to collaborate with the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in re-establishing the peace and reconciliation brought by Christ.

Within the ACJ family, there are two lay groups:

• ACJ Associates
• Adorers of the Blessed Sacrament
