Annenberg Foundation Awards Grant to the Handmaids
The Annenberg Foundation has awarded a grant to the US Province of the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to continue their work throughout the country. With the US headquarters in Haverford, the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus have received a grant in the amount of $100,000 toward their service to the communities throughout the US.
The unrestricted grant will be used to provide general operating support to further the Handmaids’ mission of reparation. To that aim, the Handmaids nurture faith development, approach the world with hope and hospitality; reverence the integrity of creation; celebrate diversity; side with the poor; act as leaven for community building; and share all that they are and have.
Sister Dorothy Beck, acj, Provincial Superior, is pleased to be recognized by a major foundation. “We are grateful for the support from the Annenberg Foundation and pray that our work will not only help those we encounter in our daily work, but also give the Annenberg Foundation pride of their support to the Handmaids.”
