OUTREACH TO IMMIGRANTS

The Oasis Católico Santa Rafaela  in Athens, Georgia,was founded by the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in September 2002.  Here, the Handmaids live in solidarity with the community. The services offered include providing basic necessities to over 2,000 individuals in the community. Additionally, the Handmaids support social aspects and advocacy while nourishing the intellect through tutoring, ESL for mothers, and special programs.  They also provide a place for individuals to worship opportunities and religious instruction.
